About Lisa
As an Asian, Christian mom of two kids, living with ADHD from Northern VA I have experienced life in both the big cities and small suburbs. I’ve navigated the challenging expectations stemming from diverse cultural, generational, and societal influences which taught me that being confined by limiting beliefs and labels can create a narrative that leads to distress and isolation. I believe that curiosity, compassion and creativity and a bit of humor within a safe space foster both acceptance and commitment toward meaningful growth. Having studied art & design and psychology, my natural passions led me to using observation, learning from failure, and using imagery to access transcendent peace and expand our capacity.
I work with children, youth and adults struggling with issues like depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, life transitions, multicultural challenges, PTSD, relational difficulties, self-esteem, and identity. My goal is to help you move past obstacles and tap into a broader capacity for joy, peace, purpose, and hope. Together, we can explore a variety of therapeutic approaches, including art therapy, psychoeducation, person-centered cognitive behavioral therapy, faith, strengths-based therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy. No prior art experience is necessary—just an openness to express and explore.
The journey toward self-discovery can take many forms. With authenticity, creativity, and a safe space for introspection, I’ll guide, walk alongside, or support you from behind as we navigate the path together.
